We are back with more soccer, this weekend breaking down some pivotal early season matchups between some of Europe’s biggest clubs. To start, we head to Liverpool where they will visit a strong Tottenham side, coming off a great result last weekend against their rivals Arsenal, then we head to the Bundesliga, where Bayern Munich are visiting the always strong RB Leipzig. We have some fantastic plays cooked up across these two matches that are sure to make what should be some entertaining games even better. Let’s begin!
Liverpool @ Tottenham (FanDuel)
Tottenham will play host to Liverpool boasting lots of confidence coming off their great form for most of this year and a well-earned point at North London rivals Arsenal last matchday, but are running into a Liverpool side that look as if they have recovered much of the magic they have displayed over the past few years. Since drawing with Chelsea to open the year, Liverpool have managed to string together seven straight victories across all competition and are scoring goals with major ease. Tottenham on the other hand, have had a great beginning to their year, managing some great results and exuding a new play style without their talisman Harry Kane. Though both teams are playing great, the better form for Liverpool should push them past Tottenham in what is sure to be a brilliant match.
Liverpool Double Chance + Both Teams to Score (-120) | Same Game Parlay
Liverpool should be the better side and should ultimately take all three points away from this match as the odds would indicate, but Tottenham have been a surprising team all year and certainly have the potential to make this a close match. For this reason, we are backing the match to finish as either a draw or in Liverpool’s favor, alongside expecting both teams to score. Offense has been the name of the game for both teams, as they have scored in nearly every match and managed to allow a goal in most every match as well. With a great atmosphere and some lively action, those could turn into a fantastic and high scoring game. Liverpool this year have seen this result in most matches, with this parlay hitting for them in 67% of games, giving a fantastic chance of it occurring again in this tilt.
Mohammed Salah Anytime Goalscorer (+140) | Player Prop
Salah has an excellent track record against Spurs and made his impact felt greatly last year, scoring three goals across two games against them. With this and a great beginning to this year scoring in every other match so far for his team, we love the chance for Salah to find himself on the scorer’s sheet again today. Tottenham have some quality in defense but will be looking to push forward, which should play well into the game plan of Liverpool and the best qualities of Salah, running into space and finishing well. With this in consideration, expect Salah to be one of several goalscorers in this matchup.

Bayern Munich @ RB Leipzig (FanDuel)
This matchup squares off two of the most dominant sides in all of Germany at the moment, with Leipzig coming to the Allianz only trailing one point behind the reigning champions in the Bundesliga table. These teams matched up earlier in the year in the DFL-Supercup, which in surprising fashion was won by Leipzing with a scoreline of 3-0. Coming into this matchup today, we expect a strong offensive output from both teams and ample opportunities for some of the new signings both clubs brought in to make their mark in one of the biggest matchups of this early season.

Though they are typically dominant, Bayern should still be expecting stiff competition from the hosts in this matchup. With superb form across all competitions, Leipzig also bear confidence from their triumph over the Bavarians earlier this year, which is why we are dropping from taking Bayern outright to Bayern double chance. Following this defeat, Bayern have hit their stride and have strung together some incredible results, oftentimes doing so by considerable margins, particularly their last two victories of 7-0 and 4-0 respectively. With Leipzig also backing an incredible attack, we are expecting this game to be over the line of 2.5, which looking across this season for Bayern, has hit alongside them winning in 5 out of 6 matches, giving them an incredible 83% hit rate for this line.
Leroy Sane 1+ Shots on Target + Benjamin Sesko 1+ Shots on Target (+113) | Same Game Parlay
Backing this prediction of a strong offensive game, we are looking at two key players to make their impact on the game in Bayern’s Leroy Sane and Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Sane has managed at least one shot on goal in all six of Bayern’s games this year, starting off the year in fantastic form, while Sesko, a new transfer for the Red Bulls has managed to do so in 3 out of 5 games for his new club. Combining these lines together, this line has a great 60% hit rate, while being offered at plus odds.
Total Corners o8 (-160) | Game Line
To soundly wrap out our lines for this weekend, we are looking at perhaps the best valued one of them all. The line for corners in this match is set at 8, which should be of no worries for these two forward-thinking clubs. Leipzig are averaging 5 corners per game which is already a great boost towards this line, but Bayern themselves are already averaging 8.8 corners per game. With one team averaging above this line on their own and both teams known for some great attacking play, this line should be one of the best across all of Europe this weekend.
