We are back with more soccer, this weekend breaking down some pivotal early season matchups between some of Europe’s biggest clubs. To start, we head to Liverpool where they will host a strong Tottenham side, coming off a great result last weekend against their rivals Arsenal, then we head to the Bundesliga, where Bayern Munich are hosting the always strong RB Leipzig. We have some fantastic plays cooked up across these two matches that are sure to make what should be some entertaining games even better. Let’s begin!

Chelsea @ Manchester City (DraftKings)

Chelsea head to the Etihad to take on high-flying Manchester City in a rematch of what was one of the most exhilarating matches of the Premier League season so far as the two sides went back and forth to finish in a 4-4 draw. The visitors head into the match with a solid victory against Crystal Palace on Monday, continuing their up-and-down form throughout the season that has them sitting 10th in the table. On the other side of the ball, City look back to their best, with five wins out of five in the league, currently putting themselves second in the table with a game in hand on league leaders, Liverpool. A key storyline heading into this matchup will be the return of Cole Palmer, who transferred from City to Chelsea in the summer and made his mark in the home fixture, scoring a late penalty against his former club.

Kevin De Bruyne To Score or Assist (-135) | Same Game Parlay

Since his return from injury, KDB has looked just as good if not better than what the Premier League has come to know over the last several years. In short work, he has found himself back in the same dangerous positions on the offensive side of the pitch, making the game appear easy as he either scores or provides. What is most impressive about the Belgian international is the incredible versatility he provides: whether it is through his pinpoint accuracy of crossing or his lethal shooting range, no matter what the opposition gives him, they will pay for giving him anytime. Over his last five games since returning to action for Manchester City, KDB has recorded at least one goal or assist in four out of five, including the last four matches straight.

What is most impressive about this stretch of form is that he has largely found this success while playing limited minutes. With only a single full ninety over his last four games, the midfield maestro has averaged 1 combined goal or assist on just 42.8 minutes per game. Whether he is starting or coming off the bench, De Bruyne knows just the way to make his impact on the game felt.

Manchester City ML + Both Teams to Score (+150) | Same Game Parlay

The greatest deficiency in this Chelsea side has been their ability to close out games, rather than their ability to just get on the scoresheet. While Manchester City are rightfully favored to win this match, it is unlikely to come easy to them, as there is plenty of potency in Chelsea’s attack. Likewise, Manchester City has not kept as tight knit of a defense as in years prior, but they are still consistent enough on the offensive side of the ball that they have had great consistency at taking all three points away from matches. It is for this reason that we are taking City to win the match, but also adding both teams to score. Over the last five games, this parlay has hit in 3 out of 5 matches, giving it a strong 60% hit rate.

Similarly, looking at a longer time stretch, this parlay has still performed incredibly well. Over the last ten games for both sides, this parlay has hit in 55% of games, giving it implied odds of -122. In particular, this has performed well for both sides to score, as each team has at least an 85% hit rate for this statistic over this run of games.

Wolves @ Tottenham (FanDuel)

Wolves are traveling to Tottenham in a battle between the 11th and 4th seated teams in the table respectively. Despite picking up some solid results along the way, Wolves have had a hit or miss run of form over their last five, while on the other side of the pitch, Tottenham are unbeaten over their last five and gradually picking back up steam for the final stretch of the season. Spurs are fortunate to have recently added Son Heung-min back to the lineup after his time playing in the Asian Cup, which should only serve to bolster their offense that finally seems to be gelling, headlined by the inspired play of Richarlison of late. Spurs rightfully are favored in this contest and should be able to come out on top, but it will be a challenge, particularly given how well Wolves seem to play against the biggest clubs in the league.

Son Heung-min To Score or Assist (-150) | Player Prop

The Spurs captain has enjoyed a brilliant campaign for Tottenham yet again this season, stepping into his role as the main man for the club exceptionally well since the departure of Harry Kane in the summer. After an absence representing South Korea in the Asian Cup, he has come back in a major way for the Champions League hopefuls, creating and scoring goals with incredible ease. In his last five matches, the forward has either scored or assisted in four, including his last four straight.

Another key factor behind the success of Son is playing at home. Over the last two months – since December 10 – Son has recorded at least one goal contribution when playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With this being another crucial match for Spurs, playing behind their strong base of supporters, the favor is on Son’s side to continue this great run of play and find his way to another goal or assist.

Both Teams to Score + Total Goals o2.5 (-152) | Same Game Parlay

Both clubs here possess a great quality going forward, scoring goals at a great clip. Likewise, both sides also have a tendency to get into higher scoring affairs, as evidenced by their past several fixtures, particularly for Tottenham who have seen both teams score at least one goal in their last seven Premier League matches.

It is for this reason that there is great value for playing these two lines together in a parlay: both teams score often, which should imply that we are in line for a spirited match with plenty of goals. Looking over the last five matches for both teams, this parlay has hit 70% of the time, giving it a fantastic 70% hit rate for this period.

If you prefer to look at a longer stretch of time, this parlay performs nearly as well looking at the entire season for both clubs. Over the entire year, it has hit 69% of the time, giving it implied odds of -221, giving it great value over its offered odds of -152.
