Our goal at HOF Bets is to provide you with the analytics you need to bet with confidence, have fun with the process, and hopefully win more too!

If you are looking for more information on any of our other features, simply click its name and you will be directed to its respective tutorial.

Currently, we offer five tools per sport:

  • Home

Get an overview of any and all upcoming games with the home page. Clicking on any game will give you a high-level overview of the matchup, breaking down the most crucial stats and highlighting the players to look out for.

  • Deep Stats

Look up any player or team to view in depth analytics showing hit rates, charts, game logs, and matchup info. Apply powerful filters like H2H, playoffs, minutes played, with or without teammates, opponent strength, and more to slice and dice the data.

  • Parlay Optimizer

Enter any SGP or SGP+ you're considering and get innovative analytics with hit rates broken down by leg and projected probability for the parlay. Get insights on which legs to cut and which to increase, based on the cold hard data.

  • Leaderboards (You are here)

View player rankings by hit rate for any prop you'd like to research (for example, 25+ points or 10+ rebounds) over the entire season or recent time frames (last 5, last 10, last 20 games) to get an idea of which players are on hot streaks.

  • Trends

View the most valuable plays currently being offered by sportsbooks, sorted by edge. This tool breaks down the differences between the implied odds of lines being offered by sportsbooks and their historical hit rates to bring you strong plays to add to your betslip.

We’ll walk you through how to use each tool using examples along the way. HOF Bets is the shiny new weapon in your sports betting arsenal, and this article is a training session to prepare you for optimal performance next time you bet.

Leaders

Leaders is a simple but powerful tool. Imagine the ability to create customizable cheat sheets for any stat, across team or player, or even given a set of particular factors. Leaders gives you just that power! When you open up the tab, you will be directed to a page taking you through the top passers in the NFL this year.

As you can see at the top, there are two main ways to navigate around this tab: first, you can switch between seeing stats for Players and seeing stats for Teams and second, you can switch between different types of stats within those two groups. To begin our deep dive, we will start on the Player's tab, navigating over to Receiving Stats.

There are a number of ways that we can modify the leaderboard that we will see. First, you can change the type of stat that you are viewing. For instance, this is how things would look if we changed it to show receptions rather than receiving yards.

Within each stat, we also have the ability to modify the type of line that we are looking at. For example, if we wanted to see players that have gone over 6.5 receptions the most often this year, we could change our thresholds like this.

In addition to changing up the stats, you can change the criteria that the rankings for the leaderboard are based on. To display this, let's switch over to the Rushing Tab and see how rushers around the league have done for hitting 100+ yards over the last few weeks.

In addition to seeing hit rates, we can also switch our settings to show averages. Let's do this now and expand our time horizon out to the last two seasons to see who the best rushers during that period have been.

Finally, there are some additional filters that can be applied on top of all these settings we have went through. By clicking the toggle button, you can select by the game(s) you want to view, players playing in games today, or just playoff performances.

That should wrap things up so for the Players tab, so next we will head over to the Teams tab. The functionality will remain mostly the same as we switch over to the new tab, though now all the stats will be related to entire teams, instead of individual players. When we switch over to Teams, we will land on a ranking of teams by their Win Percentage, as shown below.

From here, you can explore all major game lines, as well as more granular ones such as points by quarter. Beyond game lines, you can explore the other two tabs: Offense and Defense. Both of these tabs can be great for getting you up to speed on how teams rank within the league. This can be a great place to utilize the ability to switch to averages, showing you how the entire league lines up for a given stat.

Let's first look at the Offense tab. This can be a great place to examine which teams in the league have performed the best on this side of the ball, breaking down things such as total yards or touchdowns scored. Below, we can see which teams in the league have scored the most total touchdowns per game this season.

Finally, we will see basically the opposite side of things by switching over to the defense tab. While defensive stats aren't typically as exciting, these can be highly informative for how your players or teams that you are researching might perform. For example, looking below we can see the teams that have allowed the most total yards per game in the league so far this year. These are some of the softest defenses in the league, so finding players that are going against them could be great for betting overs!

That should wrap things up for this tool. Leaders is an easy and intuitive tool that can catch you up to speed fast on everything you need to know before betting. Learning how to master this tool can level up your knowledge of any league and make you a more educated and successful bettor. Reading this guide is a wonderful first step in that process, so you are well on your way!
